Positive Creative Expression Leads to Academic Excellence

Powerfully Effective Academics for Troubled Teens in Treatment

Our highly-trained, empathic, nurturing, and talented team of professionals use creative arts therapy in addition to powerful academics for troubled teens in treatment to help our students discover who they truly are. Our students are extensively and holistically trained in various life-affirming artistic crafts, developing the emotional, physical, and social tools they need to live up to their potential.

When a student builds a positive self-concept through his or her artistic talent, it opens the door to the development of many other important components, including a healthy self-identity.

A positive self-concept is primary in the natural development of young people and leads to emotional, social, and academic improvements. To this end, healthy self-concept promotes educational attributes like:

  • Academic effort, persistence, and achievement
  • Educational aspirations
  • Awareness and accountability for one’s own behaviour
  • Focus and clarity in communication
  • Completion of high school
  • Pursuit of a college education

We Help Students Learn to Love Learning Again

Our academics for troubled teens is designed to help the student excel on his or her own level and at their own pace.  As students learn how to learn and become successful in a few things, they naturally desire to experience success over and over again.  This is why we say we help students learn to love learning again.

Thank you for helping us get our son back. When we realized he needed more structure and therapy than we could provide at home we were worried that the time away would result in a regression academically. Not only is he better emotionally, he’s learned study skills that are helping him excel back at home. Debbie & Frank J. - Stockton, CA
